The Kaluvelly tank is one of Tamil Nadu’s biggest water sheds and is a central node in the traditional network of tanks. It plays a central role in traditional rain water catchment and is of utmost importance for the local agriculture. Auroville Water Harvest conducted water run off studies to reconstruct and maintain the existing water storage systems.
