Tency Baetens
Tency came from Belgium and has been living in Auroville since mid-70s. He was involved in the aforestation and renewable energy projects in the early years and later co-founded the Auroville Centre for Scientific Research in 1984 and the Auroville Building Centre in 1989. He is involved in several projects related to appropriate building technologies, renewable energy and sanitation. He also conducts workshops and training courses to professionals and voluntary organizations to promote integral choices for sustainable future.
